Worst chat ever . I think the moderator probably sucked too.

I would have guessed he had retired. I knew he had played for the Angels but I thought he was done.

I guess they don't adhere to the Disney family values.

If the sex was consensual then I wonder what grounds espn might fire him on, he's suspended now but a firing is no sure thing? I do feel bad for his kids and the wife , no doubt they are going through some crap right now

Phillips takes a leave of absence form espn and has this statement. "I am deeply sorry that I have put my family and colleagues through this,'' he said in a statement, adding he wanted to "avoid any unnecessary distractions through the balance of the baseball playoffs.'' caring about the playoffs seems odd , you ain't that important Phillips.

It might help if we had us a nice little alphabetical list for reference. It would speed things up.

Phillips is such a narcissist I'd not be surprised if there was a sex tape......with Chris Berman doing pbp...

Suspended by espn and being sued for divorce by his wife....not his best day....

Sledge, who played for the Expos, Washington Nationals and San Diego Padres before coming to Japan in 2008, hit 27 homers and had 88 RBIs for the Fighters, who finished first in the Pacific League. It can't say anything good about pitching over there when Sledge has 27 home runs and 88 rbi. I remember him as a glove guy and speedster. Although having said that his '04 season was good and surprised me. 269/.336/.462 with 15 home runs and 62rbi

You would think that after rebuilding his career after the last affair was exposed he would be greatful to have what seems like a great gig on ESPN and not mess with that. I should note that Phillips rebuilt his career after getting fired from the GM job and not after the affair ,but still you would think he would know better.

Heyman said he feels the Braves, Giants and Mets will compete for Holliday, though he wouldnt be shocked to see him go to the Yankees, Red Sox or Cardinals. All bases covered..... Heyman said he doesnt see the Mets trading to get Blue Jays RHP Roy Halladay, despite having enough, quality prospects to make a deal. although he wouldn't be shocked if he ended up in Flushing , or for that matter in the Bronx or at Fenway

Three blown calls by the umps....the first blown call at third might have been a make up for the blown call at second and then the blown call again at third might have been another make up call.....just weird calls.

I wonder if with todays high priced players the DL is used more than "back in the day" , with more money invested in players and all that. I guess that's what grim is wondering above too.
