  3. Oh I know , it's a "web gem" only cos it's Murphy...

  5. PiggiesTomatoes wrote: Ron prescient once again with a call on the set-up pitch for the 3-2 change away. Let's go Ike. seriously though , how fucking good is Ron?, it seems every game Ron will do that several times a game, He has come out of Keith's shadow in a big way. wait , Tiffany is on, gotta go to the bathroom for a minute.
  6. Now that's the kind of black little number I like.....
  7. LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr wrote: BAY. This constant notation of whether home runs at Citi would have been out last year will NEVER EVER get old! true, but this homer wold have EVEN been a homer in yankee stadium.

  9. To round out the authenticity of the day the park is full of drunks shouting abuse at the players.....
  10. Ah, I was wondering why there was no introductions......Sox pitching is suspect to say the least....and this is their best going today?
  11. Tuned to YES here at work and the Red Sox getting hit early and often , Swisher and Chavez just homered.....not back to back as Ibanez made an out......cool ceremony before the game to celebrate 100 years of Fenway. 3-0 MFY - 2nd inning Reds 6 Cubs 2 Bot of the 5th
  12. Moyer is remarkable....... for comparison ,Bo Jackson last played in the majors back in 1994......

  14. Edgy DC wrote: It's just silly that there is so much controversy (or any at all) over this. Howie and whoever were saying last night that polling was split. I assumed they meant that polling was split over giving a Hall-of-Fame-bound rival's honor to Chipper Jones, but no, they meant that polling was split over giving a returning-hero's welcome to Jos Reyes. I just can't think of anything more obvious, harmless, and decent. There'll be a thing, it'll be brief, maybe memorable but probably forgettable, and then the game will go on. No harm to any animals. Can Met fans just stop being miserable crankypantses for 10 minutes? The did this for Todd Pratt. TODD PRATT! and I thought NY fans were sophisticated..... good article Greg.....
  15. LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr wrote: So... are we never discussing Chris Rock's MFY drag in that photo collection, then? Rock's a cock, the fucking douchebag , even rocking the horrible stripes
  16. Sucks when you tune in and the team is already down four.....
  17. He's Dykstra! . Travis Jankowski, Stony Brook, 6-3, 190 pounds 2012 stats: 27 G, .330 AVG, 26 R, 9 2B, 2 3B, 1 HR, 9 RBI, 17 SB, .420/.569/.989 Jankowski is the prototypical leadoff hitter and should be able to stick in center field due to his speed, range and arm. Hit .355 last season, with 38 RBI, 30 stolen bases and just 22 strikeouts over 58 games. Teams looking for a high-average hitter, with elite speed and a great approach at the plate, would be thrilled to get a guy like Jankowski. Will also be an instant fan favorite because of his hustle and all out style. Should find his name called in the first round.
  18. I am very confident in the FO in regards to the draft.
  19. If if if......if the Queen had balls she'd be King........
  20. I bet if the Mets are still playing good ball Jose gets a good hand, otherwise plenty of boos mixed in....
  21. And there might even have been games in PR during that time?
  22. Verlander is something....wow...wish I could see some of his games....
  23. I was watching the Atlanta telecast on Extra Innings. Two things: Eric Hinske, striking out in the seventh with two runners on, yelled "FUCK!" so loudly that it was very easily heard on TV. The Braves announcers thought that Carlos Delgado was from Panama. And that included Carlos' former teammate Tom Glavine who was one of the three voices in the booth. of course, and Delgado's protests that time as Glavine will recall were over the Panama canal.
