Fred ain't gonna top up those trust funds by cutting prices....

By all accounts Horowitz is loved within baseball, certainly by long time writers.....IIRC the knock on him was dealing with people within the game who are not baseball types, they found him unprofessional. I think Jay now actually works under a " proper" PR person. I do enjoy his nuggets on Twitter.
-
From the frying pan into the fire. Not sure but I would think being vice president of business with the Mets was challenging the last few years.
-
No it's not all that flattering, but seems to fit the general perception of Horowitz as described above....I wold not like to work under the guy.

Unfortunately for me he will always be the asshole first base coach for the MFY'S that fooled the umpire into calling interference on Zeile ......was that in the WS or IL play in 2000?....was there another incident in the WS while he was first base coach? Anyway, I did like his at SNY.
-
Apparently the MFY's will pay $13 million if the $42 owed Wells......great deal Angels GM, that he got any of it picked up is surely a good thing....Cashman is desperate......
-
Daivid will say all the right things and have a line similar to this .307 - 32 HR - 116 RBI - 44 doubles - 98 SO - 12 aw shucks
-
I can't believe Valdez and Gotay were that long ago......Anderson Hernandez will always have that catch though....
-
Agree with Seo. I was expecting more when I tried to click on numbers.....not a criticism mind....would be cool to see Jeff McKnight's story on his page. http://leaptoad.com/mets/profile.php?PlayerCode=0412#
-
It works for me too....looks great, numbers very nicely displayed.
-
Question The link above provides the number and names, over time will a players number appear when you click on a players name in above link? sorry, JCL said as much if I am reading correctly on MBTN.
-
I just clicked on four random names and it seems it requires a "refresh" then the data comes up....probably a chrome thing.
-
A natural fit, congrats all around....I also am getting nothing when I click on a player name in the link provided above....now that could be Chrome or my work IT.

Heck of a pitch to Stanton in that count right there though. Great fun, great baseball.

Not at all, I have always liked him.......4-3 now as Cabrera walks in a run....... This is thrilling
-
Walk, great at bat by Mauer....bases loaded for Stanton. Reynolds by the way is great in the booth.
-
Mauer at bat, 4-2 Puerto Rico in the 8th.....2 men on

Once again "mic'd up" proves that nothing interesting is said by the people that are mic'd....
-
Pretty good game here , Vogelsong got a call there that gets two. I -0 PR with 2 out in the 3rd.

Hey, Seo is posting and starting threads, it's all good....
