metirish replied to Benjamin Grimm's topic in New York Mets Talk
NYP Force of July is the better of those two -
That's a damn fine trivia question

I've no idea but, maybe they all played for the same minor league team at one point in their careers? Same minor league team

Mets Twitter is abuzz after Mendoza mentioned how much he respects Willie Randolph, now a rumor has started that he might be under consideration for bench coach

Is that the same Mark Healey who used to post here ? IIRC he didn't like being questioned on anything

Should we be talking about Juan Soto?
metirish replied to Marshmallowmilkshake's topic in New York Mets Talk
Soto still rubs me the wrong way , I wouldn't want to be the team that gives him a 10 year deal after trading players to get him -
Officially official

Right, no reason to root for him, or anyone really, the assassin sent to Dominican wasn't that good either at his/her job.

David Fincher movie , critics seem to love it , I found it a bore-fest , Michael Fassbender plays an assassin, it's actually boring work , when things go south he becomes the prey and must break his own rules and go on the offense. Soundtracked by The Smiths music , probably the best thing about it I'm disappointed as I was looking forward to this, I think it's the kind of movie you'll either love or hate Edit to add, there is a really great fight scene

Quite the dive by New York's Andrew Rice on how all this is (or msy not be) coming together. https://nymag.com/intelligencer/article/steve-cohen-mets-citi-field-queens-casino-bid.htmlhttps://nymag.com/intelligencer/article/steve-cohen-mets-citi-field-queens-casino-bid.html Just finished, long read but worth it

A Boy Named Seo wrote: "I know he's not many people's idea of a great pitcher" has me dying every time I read it. I was really trying to say something positive for him

Probably saw his BA

Nothing, seems odd indeed

Thanks for moving this, I realized after it should have been posted in here
