I don't like "violations" in baseball. Violations are for foofy sports like soccer. Something about there being "violations" in this sport just doesn't sit right. I've never heard the term violation used in soccer. Maybe US soccer ball it is, certainly not in the games I watch have I ever heard a commentator use it
