I believe I shall remain fond of the lefty's most efficient outing, from July 31: coming in to face Tyler Stephenson of the Reds, with Joey Votto on first and Kyle Farmer on third and the Mets down by one with two out in the eighth, Loup worked the count on Stephenson to 2-2 before picking Votto off first and instigating a 1-3-5-2 erasure of Farmer at the plate. Inning over. Loup, who didn't come back out for the ninth, was credited for a third-of-an-inning pitched in the eventual 5-4 Mets win. Aaron's 6-0 record marked the fourth season of a Met pitcher winning at least that many games with no losses, joining Pat Mahomes (8-0 in 1999), Tom Gorman (6-0 in 1984) and Jerry Blevins (6-0 in 2017) in the ranks of the ostentatiously undefeated. Loup was the one to start a game or two. Liked beer (Busch Light). Didn't care for giving up earned runs (0.95).
