  1. I have no issues, and I'm not going to play games with either of you.
  2. I didn't bring him up, re-read and ask the guy who did please.
  3. He plays for the Yankees, he broke a Yankee record. It's a Yankee thread. Who cares about Barry Bonds is a better question for this topic.
  4. =Ceetar post_id=110050 time=1664996890 user_id=102]It's been Bonds for 21 years, so..
  5. Good for Judge, got nothing against him except he reminds me of Lurch. But fuck Michael Kay, and him getting to put his parasitic stamp on such a big moment in our New York lives. It's been Maris my whole life, now it's Judge (and Kay.) Yuck, I need to go use some Purell...
  6. Certainly most deserving of the honor!
  7. Mets manager Buck Showalter said on Tuesday that Starling Marte (finger) is improving "little by little." Showalter added that Marte isn't at the point where he can play in a game. The 33-year-old veteran outfielder was unable to grip a bat with both hands on Monday and it's unclear whether he'll be ready in time for the start of the National League Wild Card Series on Friday. It sounds like he'll be ready to return at some point this month, but his status for the start of the postseason remains up in the air. SOURCE: Anthony DiComo on Twitter Oct 4, 2022, 2:26 PM ET

  14. I'm watching the end of the Marlins game. Pissed off the Marlins stream on my MLB.TV is sucking so stuck with the Braves announcers.
  15. Lefty Specialist wrote: Not for nothing, but it'd be nice to get at least 5 innings here. Plenty of rain in the area. Swirling back from the east if my radar is working. Once it starts it's not going to stop anytime soon.

  21. Marte cannot gip a bat or a ball sez Buck the other day Have there been any Marte updates? His absence is glaring. Starling Marte (finger) remains without a timetable to return. The Mets' lineup simply hasn't been the same without Marte and his potential return remains a complete mystery. Some of the swelling in the veteran outfielder's fractured right middle finger has subsided, but not enough for him to grip a bat or a ball yet. It's possible that he'll be ready later this week when the Mets open the postseason, but he's running out of time to ramp up activity. There should be some clarity on his status once the regular season wraps up this week. SOURCE: MLB.com Oct 3, 2022, 11:12 AM ET
