Mets Video
Five pitchers combined on a four-hit shutout and Billy Amick hit his first Triple-A home run as Syracuse defeated Worcester 5-0 Thursday night. Kevin Herget worked the first two innings, allowing two hits. Brian Metoyer, Joe Jacques, Dan Hammer and Dylan Ross followed him out of the bullpen and combined to strike out 11 while allowing the other two hits.
The Mets built their lead with single runs in each of the first four innings . Amick finished the picket fence with a two-out drive beyond the left-center field wall. Jose Ramos drove in two runs with an RBI single in the third and an RBI double in the seventh that completed the scoring.

Metoyer Masterful In Syracuse Win
Metoyer turned in the best outing among the Mets' five pitchers. He struck out five of the seven batters he faced over 2 1/3 perfect innings, including his last four. That performance was more than enough for him to earn the win from the official scorer.
Jacques went 1 2/3 innings and Hammer worked two innings before Ross finished the shutout in the ninth.
Syracuse's first run scored without a hit. Nick Morabito and Émilien Pitre walked to lead off the bottom of the first. Amick struck out, and MJ Melendez grounded into a force out that moved Morabito to third. Nick Lorusso walked to load the bases, Ramos reached on an error by second baseman Franklin Arias, the Red Sox's top prospect, bringing in Morabito.
The Mets' second run came home on a throwing error by shortstop Isiah Kiner-Falefa, who is rehabbing with Worcester.
Shawn Ross hit a pair of doubles and scored a run for Syracuse.

Parada Homers Late In Binghamton Loss
Parada went deep with one out in the ninth inning to make the score 7-5. Corey Collins had walked ahead of him. It was Parada's fourth homer of the season for Binghamton.

Hall went the first six innings and allowed five runs on seven hits. He walked one and struck out five. The good news was he pounded the zone, throwing 53 of his 78 pitches for strikes.
