Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 The crazy-assed Mets will be throwing it all over the place in Washington this evening, making baseball happen. Lousiariqueño Seth Lugo returns for the Mets. They've already won once and they're out to do it again.[youtube:27y2f3yb]2mIj-jedeRA[/youtube:27y2f3yb]
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 As mentioned during the first game, the Nats were planning on the night-cap being Scherzer's return but have instead delayed that until tomorrow (vs Miami) so we get to face Tanner Roark who wasoriginally supposed to start the early game.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 27, 2017 Author Posted August 27, 2017 These guys insist on coming at us with Alejandro De Aza. Guest 41Forever Guests Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 (edited) Rosario gets a game-winning homer and is rewarded with a spot on the bench. Let him play, Terry! Edited August 27, 2017 by Guest
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 27, 2017 Author Posted August 27, 2017 Rosario has had a steady diet of playing time since he came up. More than anybody, I would guess. Butt-ends of doubleheaders are generally the time such creatures get their occasional rest. The real story is Brandon Nimmo's debut in the three-hole!
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 I am counting on Rosario and Nimmo.I used to love Cespedes but but what a load of unmovable flubber.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 28, 2017 Author Posted August 28, 2017 Nimmo batting 1.000 when batting third.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 28, 2017 Author Posted August 28, 2017 Ten batters so far.One hit.One other ball in play.Eight strikeouts.
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Howie notes that three Mets wear their ages on their uniforms:Smith - 22Plawecki - 26Taijeron - 28Nationally televised game, so no MLB feed for me or, I assume, for the other out-of-towners.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Now isn't that better than a bunt, Juan?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 28, 2017 Author Posted August 28, 2017 Reyes and the newly indomitable Lagares collaborate to get the Mets on the board.Let's go, Nimmo!
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 You Really Got Me, Lagares.

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Robles has been such a big disappointment. C'mon you El Panaco
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 28, 2017 Author Posted August 28, 2017 Gosh, though, what a silly selection.Terry gets what he needs from Robles and then he asks for more.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 28, 2017 Author Posted August 28, 2017 It's one of those durn newfangled doubleheaders.Rosario has a chance to bat fourth in the ninth if the Mets can get somebubby on.
