Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 21, 2017 Posted April 21, 2017 If you remember, neither Eric Young nor Marlon Byrd was particularly good going back for the ball. So they just played deep. Real deep, sometimes. They had good speed, to different degrees, but they couldn't turn it on very well while tracking a ball over their head while running toward the wall or other outfielders. Coming in, they let it rip.Maybe the Mets need to back Céspedes up some. A modest proposal.
