batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 On today's Mets game telecast, the booth gave out a remarkable Mets fact. Today began Terry Collins's seventh season as Mets manager -- and Terry's seventh game as the Mets opening day manager. And to date, Terry's used seven different opening day starters. In fact, the last time a Mets pitcher started consecutive opening days was Johan Santana, who started three straight openers, covering the years 2008-2010. Under Terry, not only has no Met hurler started consecutive opening days, but no Met pitcher has started more than one opener, consecutive or not.So here's the quiz --- in one post, name all seven pitchers who started Mets season openers under Terry Collins. We've got a Bob Miller Padres baseball card with Steve Rogers' name on it for the winner of this quiz.

You shoulda known that Santana was misplaced, because that woulda meant Santana starting four straight openers (2008-2011). Still, a winner. Kindly send in six Dairylea product proof of purchases to claim your Miller/Rogers card. Employees of Dairylea and their family members are not eligible to collect this prize.
