Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Joseph Gordon-Levitt (I always have to look up his name to remember the proper order and placement of the names and hyphen) as Phillipe Petit during the French street performer's planning and eventual execution of his 1974 wire-walk across the two World Trade Center towers.Regardless of the quality of the movie as a whole -- kind of cartoonish characters at times including JG-L's French accent (though the actor can and does speak the language) and heavy use of quite obvious CGI -- the scenes of the stunt itself are sweat-inducing scary/cool.Maybe it's just because I'm not great with heights -- not a basket case but let's just say that I was never the first kid up the tree as a youth -- but I spent the walking scenes of the movie with a towel next to me in order to keep my dripping palms from starting a minor flood despite sitting on a very stable couch at the time.
