I'm attempting to do the twitter thing too, but how the fuck does one keep up with that? There's dozens of tweets every few minutes. I'd miss the game if I was to read em all.

I hear ya. I stay away from the place because I find it overwhelming.

I learn stuff real fast there, like the HR earlier and that new record. I see great Mets pics there too. But it is overwhelming and I don't even try to keep up. I pop in for a few minutes and then pull myself away.

you're not supposed to keep up. You cultivate your timeline so that it's mostly stuff you want to see, and you pop in and out and see what's going on. If you mostly follow live events type people, like Mets games, certainly moments get away from you. But it's a good way to find out news that you'd want to hear that you wouldn't know to search for. Things like former Mets doing things, or no-hitter alerts, or quick stats like records and pics and gifs. Pop in, read a few moments of tweets, and move on.

I just responded to someone with an image and if I can do that instead of type there, I'm gonna like twitter. It's the typing that I hate and that I'm really slow at.

Those Dodgers better leave our infielders alone.

If someone on twitter says thanks for the 411, I assume that means info? lol, I'm so bad at twitter.

Missed whatever put us in this situation. 3-2 Mets. I'll review.

So Turner and Thompson, huh? Bastages.

I think we should form a class action law suit against MLBtv for advertising the game as "live". I'm like 3 minutes behind the radio.
I find that unacceptable.

A law suit would be way easier. :)

HA! MLBtv just crashed on me.

Switching to listen to Vin Scully. Oh man, don't retire Vin. I need to hear your voice at least once a season.

That was a bigger hit than Colons home run probably.

It happened on twitter two minutes ago, and I shall wait to see it. Can't we get technology to work in a proper order?

As far as winning the game goes, agreed.

I'm actually beginning to like Matz.

I love twitter for this kind of shit:
If score holds, Steven Matz will be 5-0 with a 1.09 ERA in five starts since allowing 7 runs and recording only 5 outs in his season debut.

Joe Blanton, currently pitching, was part of the 2002 'Moneyball' draft for Oakland. That scene wasn't in the movie but it was a big part of the book.
Blanton was 24th overall, 8 picks after Nick Swisher, then John McCurdy at #26 (never made the majors), Ben Fritz at #30 (ditto), Jeremy Brown 35th (the fat guy in the film clip at the end of the flick - played briefly in the majors), Steve Obenchain (37th - never played) and Mark Teahen 39th who had a decent ML career.

They then took a chance on a HS hurler in the 40th round named Jonathan Papelbon but he didn't sign and instead went to college where he was selected 3 years later in the 4th round by the BoSox.

Note that not only did the Dodgers go to the matte finish helmet this year but also the LA insignia on the helmets are in raised lettering.

I like em. And I'd like the Mets to go with that look, but if everyone else does first, we may as well stay shiny.

Since his first start, Steven Matz has allowed 4 runs in 33 innings while striking out 34 and walking just six.

Is there room for three in my little doghouse? Come on Bastardo. Get it done.

Is that gray in Utley's hair? Wow.
