Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 I got six innings this spring. Less than I hoped for, to be frankish. I've given four good years to this system, and that's no small thing when you've already given the same amount back in college. I'm a Pan Am Games vet and I've succeeded everywhere I've been. OK, not the AFL, but that's, like, the season after the season. Phooey on that. I was tired.I'm Paul Sewald. I'm a 10th-round pick from 2012, and I'm a damn consistent relief pitcher, striking out 10.6 every nine innings and walking 1.7. Over my whole career. Know what those numbers say? They say "I'm Speed Racer and I drive real fast; I drive real fast and I'm built to last."So, yeah, I'm off bloodying some noses in Las Vegas. You know how it is. But soon, my call is gonna come. What happens then? You tell me.[fimg=231]http://www.gannett-cdn.com/-mm-/510a1d917aed928541298137b7c2c5cdc8edc5bc/c=0-0-2182-2909&r=537&c=0-0-534-712/local/-/media/2015/06/12/Binghamton/B9317712334Z.1_20150612222031_000_GP3B2KGSG.1-0.jpg[/fimg] [fimg=569]http://metsmerizedonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/1439859305229-e1439859336630.jpg[/fimg][fimg=571]http://mediadownloads.mlb.com/mlbam/2016/04/01/images/mlbf_569693383_th_45.jpg[/fimg] [fimg=229]http://metsminors.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/Paul-Sewald2.jpg[/fimg]
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 17, 2016 Author Posted April 17, 2016 A heart-rending lack of opinions on Paul Sewald, but he's been the hoss of Wally Backman's pen so far for Las Vegas, throwing 5 1/3 innings over four games, yielding but a single run (on a homer), whilst striking out seven and walking but one.Sewald!
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 I think this guy's the cat's vagina.I mean, not necessarily destined for superstardom, but a role in the pen? A reminder to Montero and Robles and Verrett to throw strikes? Yes.Will be rewarded for his hard work at Vegas, and for not embarrassing the club in that Vegas game against the Cubs, with a September callup. He will win one game as a Mets this year and lose NONE.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Up in July to fill a gap made by, ya know, that huge trade I mention fromtime to time and productively sticks with the club. Did I mention huge?
