Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 I was a little blocked last season, and frankly, when injuries piled up and I was given a job, I didn't cut it. I was as big a part of the offensive black hole in the middle of 2016 as anybody. But things have loosened up a little for me. I mean, one year of Neil Walker is less of a blockade than a three year contract to Murphy, right? So one injury or failure — at second, third, or short — and I'm possibly right back in the mix. And should that come to pass, I intend to show my merits! What do you think I'll show?[fimg=379:21bk77wq]http://mlb.mlb.com/assets/images/1/8/6/94082186/cuts/herrera1280_9yu6zclr_bd6gf5gs.jpg[/fimg:21bk77wq] [fimg=321:21bk77wq]http://www2.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Washington+Nationals+v+New+York+Mets+N5GAUpNk8kHl.jpg[/fimg:21bk77wq][fimg=321:21bk77wq]http://metsmerizedonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/USATSI_8553570_154511658_lowres-e1430961870292.jpg?6c20df[/fimg:21bk77wq] [fimg=379:21bk77wq]http://m.mlb.com/assets/images/4/2/6/130667426/cuts/Dilson_Herrera.jpg_1280_3i07g6bj_eor4fueq.jpg[/fimg:21bk77wq]
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Can he pick up Radio Free Europe with those Gatorade cups?I don't know what to make of Dilson sometimes. Me, I probably would havebeen comfortable throwing him out there a whole season instead of getting Walker (but he is only 22).I guess we can expect a repeat of 2015ishness unless someone gets hurt bad.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 I think he's got a chance to unseat Walker by June but that would require Walker to suck, which no one wants to see.
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Walker has never hit lefties that well, so there is room for Herrera in a platoon role if Flores doesn't grab that role early and go with it. Otherwise it will probably take an injury to see much of Herrera, but I bet he will do significantly better than last year if he gets the chance.

Comes up for good in September and starts his 10-15 year All-Star tenure with the Mets.He will be the Robby Alomar we always wanted.Later
