Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Williams vs Seaworld, 8:05 PM, MLBN
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 No score in the 4th. Sewald looked good. Gave up a long double and a walk but that's about it.Plawexki smashed a liner of the Cubs pitcher's leg so hard he almost got thrown out at first by the catcher.Ben Zobrist can eat my asshole.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Funny, I tuned in with two outs in the top of the fourth and then got distracted. The bottom of the fourth must have went really quick 'causeI saw none of it.Need to win a fucking game, although I'm told it doesn't matter. Nothingreally matters. Scaramouch, scaramouch...
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Oh snap, it is the bottom of the fourth.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Big rally. Wright singles on a grounder to 2nd Zobrist overran, went to second ona WP, to 3rd on a sacred fly by Cespedes and scores on a Dodo opposite field bloop. 1- Zip!!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 And now we're mid-game and down 3-1.Would sure be nice to go into the season without a monkey on their backs.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Chasen Bradford gives 3 back on a double, his own error, an infield single and a squeeze bunt.Playwhacky with his 2nd hit.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Oh, great effort by Grandy! Why can't Grandy play center and Cespedes in right? Keep Conforto in left and have Lags spell em' all.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Hardworking frame for Goeddel, who looks like he will Goe down the street and rent an apartment for the summer.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 I'll say this for the Cubs: Kawasaki looks fearsome and wonderful on those goggles.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Niiice pick off. David's throws have become a sticking point with me. Does he throw side arm all the time now because of the back? I know he's been doing it for quite a while- has he always thrown everything side arm? I seem to recall a day he threw some stuff overhand.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 I think it depends on his positioning. He throws sidearm coming in and from behind his ear when he's on his heels.Meanwhile, it's like we're not allowed to win or something.Come on, youse Mets. This bottle o' June 2015 is a crappy vintage.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Not sure what's more boring; Mets lack of O or the Cubs' booth.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 I'm so spoiled by technology. I want to know Robles's velocity and this Cubs feed doesn't show it. And they're not talking about it. I thought he was doing well--he looked flat there.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Jeez, that Grimm guy is in midseason form. I hope we don't see him again any time soon (not counting next inning if he stays in).
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 The Cub defense meaninglessly bring their gloves out on the field, as De Aza, Granderson, and Wright whiff in order.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 haHA. No guys, there's no way Duda ever looks like Carew batting. Although that was a fine piece of hitting, thank you.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 .[bigpurple:xyv2kk6h]14[/bigpurple:xyv2kk6h]Check under your DUAL ST IGT seats and arrive home safe. See you tomorrow... bring your rally caps!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Time to take this stuff down from the attic.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Game ll, Matz vs Hammel, 4:05 PM, limited coverage
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 This was the first Mets game I think I saw all the way through this spring. We got a little unlucky in terms of runs scored against us (Bradford made a dumb error, then got dicked over by chopped infield hit by Kris Bryant and a squeeze bunt). Then some Cub scrubeenie hit one to Reno off Robles, not very encounarging.Few highlights for the O beyond I think 3 hits by Doodoo and 2 from Plawecki. I thought we were primed for an inning when Plawecki smashed that shot off the pitcher but Danny Muno followed as a PH and immediately hit into a mo-killing DP. GFY, Danny Muno. I worry this team will have a shit-ton of GIDPs.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 The team has been "unlucky" for a lot of these games, in that they're matching the other team with regard to base runners, but being outscored meaningfully. But after 10 games, you have to start looking at stuff stuff like defense and base running and how few Met hits are leaving the yard.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 I know its' spring but 14?I like Zvon's suggestion of Conforto LF Grandy CF Cespedes RFLagares spell em all. Or deAza I guess.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Grandy in CF makes no sense at all. He's got the worst arm of any of them, and CF is very much a young man's position.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 The real issue is Terry's soft-handed refusal to give orders to veteran guys. Play where I say on the field, and bat where I say in the order ... Terry left that guy in Anaheim or something.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Mets have scored an actual run (via an error of course because this is the 'No RBIs from Hits' Spring Tour) and lead 1-0 thru 1-1/2
