Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Seems to me that there could be a lot of them this year.Definites:Matz - after one more rehab startDuda - not really a call-up but he'll join the club when ready w/o bumping anyone else off the roster so it's kind of the same thingsPlawecki - just for the 3rd catcher aspect if nothing else. Better he PHs down the stretch than ReckerProbable/Possible:NieuwenhuisEYJ - no point in going out and getting him if you're not going to use hima LHR or two - Alvarez, Rice, Alex TorresGee? - gee, if you don't bring Gee up now it really spells the end of his NYM tenureCampbell, Dilson - maybe one or the other. Neither hit in NYC, both hit in LVEric Goeddel - is rehabbing and supposedly near readyTim Stauffer? - (RHP) former 4th overall draft pick (SD in 2003) was awful w/Minnesota early on but has some good numbers over 44 innings since being picked up and stashed in Vegas
RealityChuck Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Gee won't be called up. He's not on the 40-man roster, which is stuffed pretty full right now.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Neither is Young or Stauffer. There's always a way to make room. Trying to pass Monell or Tovar through waivers is one quick way. Or two, in fact.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 The first batch, who we'll see on September 1 is, according to Mike Vorkunov of NJ.com, four players: Kevin Plawecki, Kirk Nieuwenhuis, Eric Young Jr., and Eric Campbell.

Guest cooby Guests Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 I used to hate this time of year because all my favorite players would Now Get Benched. Except during a pennant race of course!
