September Call-ups

Seems to me that there could be a lot of them this year.

Definites:
Matz - after one more rehab start
Duda - not really a call-up but he'll join the club when ready w/o bumping anyone else off the roster so it's kind of the same things
Plawecki - just for the 3rd catcher aspect if nothing else. Better he PHs down the stretch than Recker

Probable/Possible:
Nieuwenhuis
EYJ - no point in going out and getting him if you're not going to use him
a LHR or two - Alvarez, Rice, Alex Torres
Gee? - gee, if you don't bring Gee up now it really spells the end of his NYM tenure
Campbell, Dilson - maybe one or the other. Neither hit in NYC, both hit in LV
Eric Goeddel - is rehabbing and supposedly near ready
Tim Stauffer? - (RHP) former 4th overall draft pick (SD in 2003) was awful w/Minnesota early on but has some good numbers over 44 innings since being picked up and stashed in Vegas

Gee won't be called up. He's not on the 40-man roster, which is stuffed pretty full right now.

a bat yet halfway through his DL stint.

Neither is Young or Stauffer. There's always a way to make room. Trying to pass Monell or Tovar through waivers is one quick way.
