My daughter texted me last light from Santa Fe. She'd just seen Thor pitch in Albuquerque, thrilled that he's coming up to the Show. Delighted with the Mets win last night, but she said it almost didn't feel like a real win because she came in right near the end of the game, turned on the radio, and didn't hear Howie say "Put it in the books!" So she wanted to know if someone was subbing for Howie last night. She didn't hear enough of the game to be able to focus on the voice.

Howie's daughter Chelsea was indeed graduating from college. Wayne Randazzo is the designated Howie-Josh fill-in guy this year. No local cable announcer is doing his team's hockey games at this stage of the playoffs as it's all NBC/NBCSN.

IIRC, Howie's daughter was the one who was afraid of Mr. Met back a bunch of years ago.
