Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 A skinny journeyman lefty gets a shot after years of toil and soil and wrapping his lunch in foil. I'm Scott Rice and that was me in 2013. And I took that chance and became an everyday lefty.Well that took it's toll, and I ended up hurted. Spent the year rehabbing and now I'm back. Back on a minor league deal, anyhow. And so the journey begins anew. Where will it take me in 2015?
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 He'll have a year of ups and downs, but since we need lefties he'll have a job.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 I just don't see it happening for the Riceman in 2015. For all the talk of the great opportunity in front of him, if he doesn't have it, he doesn't have it. Released. Sorry.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 13, 2015 Author Posted March 13, 2015 I look at his form and I don't see how he ever fooled anybody.I think he'll probably get another go, but only as a passing ship in the stormy night of leftlessness.Four innings, eight ERA.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 20 games, fewer than 15 innings. 3.95 ERALater
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 I have a cousin-in-law who looks exactly-- EXACTLY-- like him, only the in-law is taller, and good at what he does professionally.18 G, 14 1/3 IP, 5.02 ERA, 1.60 WHIP, 8 K, 5 BB, one looooong face

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Thought Rice was in the 6'3" range. So, revised: they're the exact same height.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Don't have much kahnfidence that he'll provide much in 2015.
