Ichiro took the mound today for Miami, giving up on one run on two hits in one inning.

He struck out both of his trips to the plate, capping an ugly finish, going 1 for his last 20 and ending up with a .563 OPS. I'd've guessed he did well against the Mets, but he went .170 / .188 / .277 // .464, despite hitting his only homer of the season against �lex Torres.

Sixty-five MLB hits short of 3,000, which I imagine he really wants. Unsigned for next season.
