G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 There will be a moment, perhaps in Spring Training, perhaps on his normal throw day, maybe while on the mound during the season when he feels something. He'll be temporarily shut down for precautionary reasons but we'll be assured it's nothing. He won't go on the DL but he'll be pushed back. He'll miss a start. Then they'll backdate him onto the DL, but it won't mean he's hurt. In fact, it'll be good for all concerned. It will save him some innings. He'll feel fine. Really. It was just a little something. It's normal. It's better it happened now than later.Ultimately, he'll be Harvey again, but in the interim I expect a speed bump.

Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 I think it's funny how many fans are penciling in as Harvelous, 2015 Savior. Will start off bad, maybe landon DL, 2015 will see him be the fourth best starter.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 The Puma reports on Matt "That's A Clown Question, Bro" HarveyMatt Harvey snaps at ‘bulls—‘ question after shutdown startIf Matt Harvey considered his season at a critical juncture Tuesday, he was keeping that information private.“I’m not answering that bulls—,” Harvey growled as he cut off his postgame interview session after he was asked if he considered his recent slump a crisis point in his season. The Mets had seen the best of Harvey for seven innings and needed it in holding off the Blue Jays 3-2 at Citi Field for a third straight victory. The ace right-hander’s final line over the seven shutout innings included four hits allowed with six strikeouts in his sharpest performance in almost a month. The Mets scored three early runs and then disappeared offensively. Bobby Parnell provided the bullpen heroics with 1 ²/₃ innings of scoreless relief.Manager Terry Collins described Harvey as “not very happy” lately — he had a 7.20 ERA in his previous four starts before Tuesday — and determined to change course. But Harvey disagreed with the assessment he brought anger to the mound against the Blue Jays.“It’s part of baseball,” he said. “You’ve got to stay positive and go out and work as hard as you can to fix things and there are going to be adjustments throughout your career and hopefully it’s a long one, so figuring out how to stay out there and get people out is part of baseball.”So Harvey didn’t consider his season at a crisis point?“We’re done,” Harvey said, ending the questioning.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 17, 2015 Author Posted June 17, 2015 I support your media shutdown, Matt, but at least be creative.[list:16tm5cdl]"That's a harlequin question, Bro'.""That's a query I'd consider to be characteristic of a mountebank, Cousin.""I'm not going to field the inquests of this Merry-Andrew, here. I think we're done."[/list:u:16tm5cdl]
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Who asked the question? Was it Puma himself? Because if so he's really painting himself into a corner of "no one will talk to Puma".
