ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 First futures board I have seen..MLB Team Wins Over/Unders NL O/U AL O/U Nationals 93 Angels 87.5 Dodgers 91 Tigers 86.5 Cardinals 87.5 Red Sox 86 Pirates 85.5 Mariners 85 Giants 85 Orioles 84.5 Padres 84 Blue Jays 83.5 Cubs 81.5 Royals 83 Marlins 81.5 Athletics 82.5 Mets 81 White Sox 82 Brewers 80 Indians 81 Reds 79 Yankees 80 Braves 73.5 Rays 77.5 Arizona 72.5 Rangers 76.5 Rockies 70.5 Astros 73.5 Phillies 67 Twins 68.5 Marlins over the Mets. HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 If I had the moolah here's where I might go.Padres UNDER 84. I like that they were aggressive in re-hauling their team but those dramatic re-hauls don't always pay dividennds in year 1. They've also got 19 games each with SF and LAD.Reds UNDER 79. Just a gut feeling they are heading for a fall.Giants OVER 85. They have won 3 WS in five years. Maybe this is their down year. But if teh NYY had won 3 titles in five years, you really think their over/under would be 85?Blue Jays UNDER 83.5. Because they always seem to under achieve.NYY OVER 80. Would love to see them crash and burn, but: I think the AL East is full of paper tigers; I think if they are close, they will make a deal to keep them in the hunt; and the last two years have had an annoying quality of playing above their pythagoreum
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 I go Giants UNDER. Take a look at how they've done between the WS titles-- essentially, a below-.500 team that's gotten a little lucky, and that's WITH some of the pieces they've lost this offseason.I like the Rays' pieces, but would feel more comfortable going OVER if they'd kept the man in the glasses.I do think the Royals' ceiling caves in, though. UNDER. Big.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2015 Author Posted February 18, 2015 Red Sox under 86, they don't have much.
