Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Good also on MLB as, according to the story, at least some folks in the Park Ave offices have known about this for some time. Yet those who did know were both comfortable enough to allow him to continue unhindered in his job and also managed to be leak-free the entire time until Scott was able to release the info on his own terms. Not that either non-action deserves a prize or anything but it does run counter to the stereotype of how many assume a corporate entity involved in sports would act given those circumstances. In the meantime, this 'announcement' predictably seems like it's being greeted with a collective yawn, which in itself is a good thing.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted December 3, 2014 Author Posted December 3, 2014 Yeah, the world will tell you there's two ways to do this: (1) to be as difficult and uncooperative as possible with Scott, or (2) to make it a cause celebrate to wrap themselves in their own virtue. MLB took the third path: good on them.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Colbert poked some fun at Scott. Looked for a clip but none out there. Can't recall verbatim, something like, "Dale Scotts most recent call: I'M OUT!"
