Mets rallying as Grandy (finally) beats the shift by going the other way.

Funny that immediately starts talking to Rougned Odor like they're old friends.

The Rangers are having a third inning like a Mets' eighth inning.

Here's the problem with a network game: SNY would instantly show us the shift - or lack of one - with Duda up and the bases loaded, and have commentary to go with it.
FOX is either content to let us guess or they just don't care that much.

Turns out, as seen from the high shot, that they were playing things fairly straight up, but we found that out essentially by accident.

Cool to see d'Arnaux measuring the plate with his bat to establish his batting position.

Sux to see him go down on three pitches.

We need Grandi to do something extremely positive here.

Couldn't ask for a better opportunity than to get a runner on with Grandy-Muffy-Wrighty coming up.

Bad game for Muff.

Tough chance wasted in the eighth with Laggy tearing into a ball but it turning into a 4-6-3.

Giving away the first two strikes with lame bunt attempts didn't help. Yeah he wound up hitting it hard, but the 0-2 pitch put him in a must-swing position.

But the bottom line is that the Rangers got two two-out HRs for 4 of their 5 runs,
while our bats--given a bases-loaded/no-out situation, then later a lead-off double, then later still a 1st & 2nd/none out set-up--and wound up with exactly one single and one run out of all three combined.
