Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Moving from 11th place to fourth place and now to first place in the span of three years, the Mets have overtaken the Astros to record the highest organizational winning percentage in baseball, considering the performance domestic minor league clubs only. Houston had finished at the top of the heap in both 2012 and 2013.All seven of the Mets affiliates finished at .500 or better, headed by low Class A Savannah (.625) and footed by Rookie-level Kingsport (.500). Despite the organizations overall success, just three of its farm clubs qualified for the playoffs, and among those qualifiers, both Savannah and Triple-A Las Vegas (.563) made first-round exits. Only Double-A Binghamton (.585) remains, and the they will play for the Eastern League championship this week.http://www.baseballamerica.com/minors/2014-organization-standings/
