G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 A chance to win the 1986 World Series Game Six DVD on Faith and Fear if you can nail this quiz, loosely inspired by the trade that brought Bobby Ojeda to New York from Boston.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 7 easy ones, 1 kinda hard one, one impossible one. Maybe I win a DVD!
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 My "impossible" answer was actually wrong.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2013 Author Posted July 24, 2013 Nice crossover wins for Seawolf and HahnSolo. Congrats!

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Edgy got all the Mets who became Sox All Stars.Among the Sox All-Stars who became Mets, I got the three 21st Century guys. The older three had me licked.I actually thought of the guy who was an All Star in the nineties, but I conflated him with Manny Alexander.
Guest 86-Dreamer Guests Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 I thought for sure John Valentin was an all-star for the Sox. Somehow Gary Disarcina beat him out in 1995 as Ripken's reserve.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2013 Author Posted July 30, 2013 Another 1986 quiz and another great prize here.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2013 Author Posted July 30, 2013 Readers are getting good, I'm going soft on hard quizzes. We have our winners. Play for fun if not profit.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Roger McDowell, Bobby Ojeda, Doug Sisk, Wally Backman, Kevin Elster, Danny Heep, Rafael Santana, Tim Teufel, Mookie Wilson.Teufel's best year was as the dark half of a platoon (though he got a lot of extra-platoonical duty as that season progressed). Of the rest, I'd say that Sisk, Ojeda, Backman, Elster, and Wilson all had at least one AS-quality season.
