Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Well, Duda doesn't catch that one.
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Young put his speed to good use there.
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 And suddenly, the ball is carrying in our favor.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 A big Brown stain on the scorebook!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 I just came in from mowing the lawn. Three runs on 10 hits through four? How have we contained the damage that much? Triple plays?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Wright with a line single in the 5th. He's seeing the ball well tonight.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Hawkins on to pitch. This could become a fringe event. Prepare the amber.

Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Simmons hit one that sounded like he was swinging a mop handle and it went to the track in left-center. The ball is definitely carrying tonight.

dinosaur jesus Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 You know, it's actually a little insulting how pissed Freeman was after he struck out. It's not like that was a huge opportunity--two outs, runner on first. It's like he thought Hawkins had no business striking out the mighty Freddie Freeman. A little pissed I'd understand, but he broke his damn bat over his knee.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Q almost has a Ruben Tejada AB.He fought back from 0-2, fouling a bunch of pitches off, until getting to a full count. The only thing he did wrong was hit a double when it was all over instead of popping out.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Breathe deep, the gathering doom Mike Minor. (see what I did there?)
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Great point, DJ. A little Paul O'Neill in him.Meanwhile, back-to-back opposite field doubles by Q and The Man With Bill Berry's Eyebrows. 4-3 Metsies.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Crappy AB for Young there.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 We're advancing runners in the wrong direction.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 (edited) Baseball 101 Satin. Edited June 20, 2013 by Guest
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Small sample so far but Young bunts 100% of the time when I don't want him to, and doesn't bunt in 100% of all situations where he shoulda. If they got Satin to 3rd he might have scored on that soft grounder.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 We need the Lyon to roar here.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 And he fucking walks the first fucker he fucking faces.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Looks like Teufel has taught Murphy how to cheat around second on the DP turn.
