Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Apologies for not having a lot of time for a fresh KTE, but this is the third time the Mets and Braves have clashed this season. You know them, you probably don't hate them nearly as much as you used to. This links to the KTE from the second series, which contains a link to the KTE from the first series.A few notes:Julio Teheran has been pretty hot, one middling outing in his last ten good ones. Fortunately, the Mets miss him. Mike Minor is pitching well, and is a lefthander, so Thursday should suck.Justin Upton has cooled off, Freddie Freeman hasn't, Evan Gattis is the subject of Chuck Norris-type web pages and Tumblrs, and the Braves have opened a 6 1/2 game lead in the NL East over the underachieving Nationals. With five games in four days the teams have to scramble to get an extra starting pitcher in there. Zach Wheeler, as we all know, will get the Tuesday night game for the Mets. Alex Wood will come out of the Braves bullpen to make his first MLB start in the day game, facing Matt Harvey. Why don't I think this is as good an omen as it should be?Here are more notes that you could very well find yourself, but since I was out there I thought I'd add a link so you could better KNOW THINE ENEMY. Kindly observe the liberal use of fontplay to obscure the lack of actual information. When you talk about the suckiest KTEs of the year, and you will, please do not forget me.Yer probables:Monday: RHP Dillon Gee (5-6, 4.84) vs. RHP Tim Hudson (4-6, 4.41), 7:10 p.m. ETTuesday: RHP Matt Harvey (5-1, 2.04) vs. LHP Alex Wood (0-0, 3.52), 1:10 p.m. ET; RHP Zack Wheeler (4-2, 3.93 at Triple-A Las Vegas) vs. RHP Paul Maholm (7-5, 3.65), 7:10 p.m. ETWednesday: RHP Shaun Marcum (0-8, 5.43) vs. RHP Kris Medlen (3-7, 3.09), 7:10 p.m. ETThursday: LHP Jonathon Niese (3-6, 4.15) vs. LHP Mike Minor (8-2, 2.68), 7:10 p.m. ET

Former Mets advance scout Bob Johnson is now in the same role with the Braves, but I doubt we'll be seeing him this week, by nature of his job.
