Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Royals, winners of just four of their last 23 games, have added two new batting coaches, one of whom is the baddest hitter in organizational history, one of the greatest ever, and legendary redass, George Brett.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 Words that ballplayers use as if everybody uses them, but nope, only ballplayers use them:RedassHorseshitThe rest of society has perfectly common and meaningfully descriptive terms to represent these concepts, but for decades ballplayers just hang on to these two. And I think it's probably for the best. You tell a player what he's done is a bullshit move, he's probably furious (he'll get the red ass). You tell him it was a horseshit move, he'll be hurt but hear you out.Similarly, George Brett overhears one ballplayer telling another "That Brett can be a real redass," he thinks, "I guess that's true --- and it works for me but maybe I should look at whether it's helping the team."If he hears the same guy saying "Brett can be a real asshole," it's almost more or less the same thing, but that guy's gonna die.
