A blip on the radar notes that the Mets have signed "Dario Alvarez."

With no accompanying press release or reports, little is known about Dario, or where they found him. That link above has him spending three summers in the DSL with the Phillies, improving each year, and then disappearing after 2009. He now comes back to the Mets as a 24-year-old wanderer. Where to from there? Mexico? Japan? Korea? China? Back in the DR working for a living?
