Big deal, I think.They may only have a few shillings to play with, but I'm glad now that they do, they've returned to re-investing in development where they were led to cut back a year before.

I imagine they had to slash everywhere last year just to get through the season with some bank left over and now they think they can unslash a little bit --- run lean but not gutted.

"And with the continuation of two teams in the Dominican Summer League, we need more rookie level roster space for our young players. We are happy to be back in the Gulf Coast League while retaining our affiliation in Kingsport of the Appalachian League."The Mets nonetheless openly cited their financial constraints when they shut down GCL operations last year.The Mets are now (again) one of only three organizations with nine minor league affiliates.
