G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 I was never interested much in sports. However, recently I have been reviewing my life and found out that my father was a Mets fan. I realized as I was approaching 48 years old (and finally in therapy) that I could just dive in and feel a link to my past and my father. So a Mets fan (me) was born 42 years after the fact.Remarkable story I sort of stumbled upon.

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 WOW , that was gold, you're a hell of a writer .....So a Mets fan (me) was born 42 years after the fact. It was like you were going back in time to get me at 6 years old, taking me by the hand, and leading me through Mets history so that I could join them in the present.that is really awesomereally cool that you will meet Ed next season.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2012 Author Posted September 14, 2012 Thanks, though I tip my cap to Ed for a) digging deep to find his inner Mets fan and framing his story so honestly. I love stories of this ilk.
