OK, he's currently enemy property. But he uses Mets fan Lori Martini's song "Believe" when coming up to bat, is a testicular cancer survivor, and by all accounts is a good kid.

Maybe the Mets will trade for him one day....

Tyler was promoted to the Double A Trenton Thunder just in time for the playoffs. My plan is to see him in action on Saturday.

I saw my boy in Trenton this afternoon. Here he is on second base after an RBI double -



The thinking is that he'll likely start the 2013 season in Trenton, so I'll be able to keep an eye on him next season.

The kid had a good day on Sunday

Hitting .270 on the season so far, but seems to be adjusting to the AA level.

Tyler has been named to the Eastern League All Star Team, and he is a finalist for the Futures Game.

He got a hit in the Eastern League All Star game, but a couple of days later landed on the DL with a right wrist injury.

Tyler's rehab appears to be nearing completion and he will be playing Arizona Fall Ball this year.

Tyler is going to be back with the Thunder tonight to face Portland for the final series of the regular season.

Tyler is ready for the Arizona Fall League season as a member of the Scottsdale Scorpions, which also has a few Mets of the Future on the roster.

Tyler was taken off of the roster as a precaution. He experienced wrist pain after being hit by a pitch.

Tyler started the year in Florida to finish rehabbing his wrist, but he's back in Trenton now.

I'm still hoping that he winds up on the Mets one day.

In a move that hopefully increases his trade value, Tyler was added to the MFY's 40-man roster today.

The kid is starting the year at AAA Scranton. A step up from Trenton (in more ways than one).

It looks like I'll be seeing my adoptee in person again. After a rough season at AAA, Tyler is back in Trenton.

The kid has a broken foot and will be out for the next six weeks. Based on that, he probably starts the season in extended spring training.

My adoptee's foot has healed and he's been called back up to the majors.

Now if we could only trade for him to save him from the dark side....
