Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Tonight is really only his second lousy start of the 10 he's made. The rest have been a combination of good and mediocre. The biggest problem is that we're not getting much length out of him. Sometimes that's been his fault, sometimes not so much.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2012 Author Posted July 28, 2012 At this stage in his career every inning Young logs is a gift....well most of them anyway.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Will Terry tell us again that it's too soon to judge Bay?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 As soon as you saw the catcher call for the pitch up high you knew Nieuwenhuis was toast.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Baxter should return on Monday so tomorrow could be Nieuwenhuis' last day in the majors until September 1.Ed Leyro ?@Studi_MetsimusIn his last 72 at-bats, Kirk Nieuwenhuis has struck out 36 times. In 156 career at-bats, R.A. Dickey has struck out only 23 times. #Mets

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 If only mighty Davis could get a turn at bat.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Tying run at the plate, one out, cats and chicks.Hairston is the man on the spot.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Tying run at the plate.Wright gets up unless there's a DPOne more batter needs to get on to get Ike up again.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 That AB isn't going to help Hairston's trade value.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Mets actually out-hit the Snakes tonight ... but they bunched their hits and we didn't, and they got hits with men on and we didn't.

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Hey, they've won here, which is more than they did in six tries at home.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 How fucked up is this year that we're now hoping the lineup winds past Wright and gets to Ike.Chris Young: None too impressive this time around.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2012 Author Posted July 28, 2012 I'm starting to root for players stat totals more than wins and losses now.I'd like to see Ike hit 30 Knocks 90 RBI's and close it at .250
