All the beat writers, for the most part, tweet and announce all the same lineups/news and whatnot. You might miss out on an ESPN story by not following Rubin, or a Post story by not following Puma, but that's mostly it.

I can't argue with that.

Really, though, Rubin (Snookisms aside) sweeps up everything in his wake. If I quit following all the other beatsie boys, I don't think I'd miss an iota of actual information.
