ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 I liked what I heard about Wheeler possibly being with the big club this year.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 15, 2012 Author Posted July 15, 2012 SHaM City, Baby.Body be-eats!I hate Ben Sheets!I don't even know why!
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 He is painfully effective thus far, but what 75 pitch cap coming?
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Meanwhile in Miami, tweets say that Ozzie Guillen pointed at bat at the Nationals dugout and told Bryce Harper "fuck you kid".
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 15, 2012 Author Posted July 15, 2012 That's almost a benediction from Ozzie.Back in Atlanta, C.B. Bucknor is having a crap-ass series.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Good for Warthan. "TIME OUT!" "Whatever you want, Mr. Bourn."Despite this--catch the fucking ball, Torres and Johan, don't walk the #8 hitter. While I'm venting: Pagan for Ramirez and Torres--I didn't mind seeing Pagan go, but nice return, Sandy!
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 This was all started because Andres Torres got his usual lousy jump on the leadoff double. I was tired of Pagan, but they got took on that deal.OE: bmfc1 got there first.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 We can blame the umps and/or Sandy all we want, but this pitching staff has spent the last ten games or so as if in some sort of contest to see how many two-out RBI hits they can give up.And if that weren't enough, the bats are getting two-hit by a guy who hasn't pitched in the majors since George Bush was in the White House and I'm not even sure which one.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 And then of course the best way to answer a big inning is to have the top of your order go out 1-2-3 without getting a ball out of the infield.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 FK: do you think that the starters have come back to their norm? Johan looked like a rookie that inning, walking a piece of crap like Janish and then possibly losing his concentration after Bucknor's fuck-up.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 that damn air raid siren when the Braves score is really annoying.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Does it matter? The starters ALL suck right now for whatever reason. But, beyond that, the hitters suck, the defense sucks, and the relievers have always sucked. At one point yesterday four different pen guys managed to start 11 straight Brave hitters off with ball one. Santana walking not only Janish but also Sheets (who hits like sheet) is merely continuing the tradition.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Too bad the Mets are making us hear that siren so often.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Sheets, btw, pitched twice in AA (total of 10 innings) and gave up 7 runs on 12 hits.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 15, 2012 Author Posted July 15, 2012 Seriously. This is a show-some-pride inning here.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 15, 2012 Author Posted July 15, 2012 Sheesh. I never thought I'd see the day where we were beaten by the glove of Matt Diaz.See ya, Atlanta.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 When Matt Freakin' Diaz is making back-to-back good plays against you to end games, you know you ticked off the baseball gods somewhere.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Palisades Park would have been more fun..

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Swept. Gah! Well, according to my research of this season, that means we will sweep the Nats, get swept by L.A, and then sweep Washington again!
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 eff Santana in this game. He coulda helped himself with a sac bunt.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Not giving up 17 consecutive two-out hits would have been a help also.
