Four years ago, we reflected in this space over a symbolic war between the old school print journalism and the blogosphere as represented by the persons of Buzz Bissinger and Will Leitch.

The two rivals, naturally, become bedfellows as Bissinger grumpily goes to work for Deadspin.

He was pretty profane at an education writers conference I attended -- and was fascinating. This was just after Friday Night Lights came out. I went and bought the book right after that - and I NEVER read football books.
