Brown's name may have come up as one being sought specifically by the Mets or maybe it was mere speculation because when teams are moving established players at trading deadlines ALL hot prospects in the target's organization get speculated about.The word on Brown is that he's an OFer with questionable future power but ridiculous speed.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 I don't remember any talk of Gary Brown, but I do remember Dominic Brown (of the Phillies) as someone the Mets might have gotten for Beltran.
Aiden Robbins Brooklyn Cyclones - A+ OF The 21-year-old 3rd round pick this year played 20 games for St. Lucie and hit .273/.371/.455 (.826) with 2 doubles and 4 homers. He has now played 2 games with Brooklyn and is 2-for-4 with a home run. Explore Aiden Robbins News >
