A picked-on son of a sans frontier doctor in Denmark discovers violently effective revenge with the help of another boy dealing badly with the recent loss of a parent. Doctor dad in the meantime confronts violence in morally strenuous ways at home and at work.

These parallel hijinx are so purposefully aligned the whole thing comes off as a bit of an insult, but they're interesting anyhow, come with good performances and I wanted to see how they would end. Snooty people liked this as it won a Best Foreign Language film Oscar.
