I was duped by a bad description. It was a liner, not a parabola.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 FYI: In observance of Buckner Day, we're giving away five copies of an excellent DVD over at FAFIF today. It's Game Six telecast which offers synced-to-video audio of Murph & Thorne in addition to the television call of Scully & Garagiola.Win by taking our quiz, which asks you to correctly identify those former Mets pitchers who have won or lost World Series games as former Mets (that is, they used to be Mets, they went to a team that made the World Series, and they got a W or an L or maybe each along the way). Two of the answers are in the headline already.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 25, 2011 Author Posted October 25, 2011 Boy did I drop this thread.YOU ALL DIDN'T HELP!
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Yeah...anyway, go take the quiz and maybe win yourself a DVD.
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Great quiz. I got a few on first reading, but whoever wins the DVD definitely earns his Mets fan card.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 The 1986 World Championship season is now so long ago that it has slipped into the first half of Mets history. When I first became a Mets fan, the second half started in 1967!
