You can youtube the whole thing if you look for it. I did recently, seeing it for the first time in years and years.

Upon reflection, I don't think much of the hotel subplot, the tension between Martin Mull and his scheming underling and the grandmother scene-chewing by Ruth Gordon. The relationship between the Peache boys was fine though.

What this flick really got right was the feel of being at the scene where a fight is about to start. The first scene with "Mike" is gripping and one of the cruelest things you'll ever see in a film. Also Chris Makepeace (not war) gives a great performance of a clever, disheveled kid who needs to think his way out of trouble. His deadpan "booger" friend, I discovered on an extensive net search, never made as much as a school play after this one flick and died a few years ago in a motorcycle wreck. Matt Dillon is excellent as an oily, cowardly bully. He totally go it right.

The final scene is a little over the top. It was the right way to end it but the fight itself was a hard to believe after the realistic, headlock and rasslin style punchup between Ricky and Mike.
