Buchholz to DL

What's amazing to me is one way Terry going anti-Jerry with the pen. While Jerry would use his eighth-inning guy night after night if the Mets were close, a Terry team down buy a run in the seventh or eight seemingly will use... anybody. I'm thinking he'll go to the third-best guy, or the second-best if he's well rested, and then I see Igarashi or O'Connor or Thayer jogging in and I think... OK.

Meanwhile, I-Am-a-DJ-I-Am-What-I-Play Carrasco is 1-3, 4.94 as a starter in Buffalo.

I heard the question and his answer.
He was asked (I paraphrase) "What are you going to do with your roster in the next couple of days?"
He said that Buchholz was going on the DL.
But, it seems like the question was asked because someone will have to go because Reyes will be coming back to the 25 man roster shortly. And the Buchholz move is one of those wink wink kinds of moves.

I'm not liking it much. The last four losses, the lead changed in the late innings when the starter was pulled for the reliever.

some of it's bad luck in that Izzy has generally been pretty good but chose to give up his runs in a key spot. But I'm starting to wonder if maybe there are times that he's just not making the transition well. Granted their have been a lot of shennanigans and it's not like Collins is doing one thing over and over again and it's failing, he perhaps pulled Pelfrey too soon, Dickey too late. Maybe he was too loyal to Cap last night, they weren't scorched or anything but runners on maybe it's time to relieve him.

Anyway, apparently the Mets were playing somewhat short recently? how long has Buchholz shoulder been bothering him? I wasn't expecting Parnell for Reyes, but given they didn't know how long they could go with Dickey and possibly Taylor being unavailable it makes sense now.

Shoulder soreness.

That's why we haven't seen him. News came at the end of a mildly entertaining Terry Collins press conference in which he exasperatedly bemoaned the lack of execution and mental errors.

That was some entertaining Terry, veering between passion and borderline meltdown. A little Lasorda and a little... Lee Elia or somebody. Maybe that's who he is, somewhere between those two.

His skin also seemed a little jaundiced. Get that looked at, Terry.
