Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 I can imagine a 1970 infieled of 18 letters with Foy/Weis/Foli/Shamsky. I don't know if that ever happened but there's a good chance it did. I do know Cleon Jones didn't play any first that season, which would have given them a chance at 16.

Weis and Foli not in the same lineup.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Get Bay, Pagan, Duda, Thole and Gee in the same lineup and you've got optimal efficiency. Or save on letters.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 "Hu walked? Holy shit! Really?"
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Told ya.Rasputin supported the czars, comrade.Pelf untouched through two.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 (edited) Wasn't going for Bolshevik Russian, necessarily. (And the aesthetics/cult-of-personality thing seemed to fit.)Pelf does appear to be working with the good shit today-- 3 GOs and a soft liner to SS through two. Edited May 5, 2011 by Guest
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Pelfrey pitching to Paulino. Nuthin' but a P thang, baby.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Ross dives, grabs Bay's sinking liner and can't hold on. Shucks for him.Yay for Bay.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 And Cody can't get to Davis's hit. Shucks to be him again.First and third...
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Leadoff double, Davis single, no score... this all feels a bit familiar.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Run-scoring grounder to third turns into DP but the key here is run-scoring. Good for Ronny.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Hairston a day game animal. Let 'em roar.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Hairston walks and after a moment of scratching his head in confusion, heads to first.

G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Slow grounders can be the means of production.

G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Pelfrey's strike zone proves too large a target for Sanchez. First and second.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Two guys on, and they have to come after Reyes with Hu on deck.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Assuming Sanchez can come after Reyes.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 YES! Rowand looked like a Mets OF (not Beltran) chasing after that ball.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Two. Run. TRIPLE!Hope Pelf's legs aren't gone.
