I like it. A good second-game-of-a-double-header quality lineup.

Look forward to your updates.

Not much happening yet. Linda Cohn of Sportscenter filming a bit where she plays catch with David. More genuine moment as she has someone take a photo on her iPhone of her and Ike Davis together.

Davis worked out a walk from Derek Lowe and we already had an E4 for Uggla but an Emaus GIDP ended things. Quick 1-2-3 first for Pelfrey. Braves playing most of their starters except for Heyward.

Whole lot of defensive ugliness. An Emaus error (later changed to a hit) when he fell down fielding a sharp liner led to a run in the second.

In the third:
Derek Lowe leadoff double;
Bunt single when Pelf, Davis and Emaus all tried to go for the bunt and nobody covered first;
RBI grounder to third during which Wright throws home (wide) and Thole keeps his foot on the plate when trying to catch it -- but it wasn't a force play -- and he can't tag the runner.

Dillon Gee got knocked around for 3 runs, including a Chipper homer (ugh).

First Met hit comes in the 6th inning in the form of a Justin Turner single. He promptly got thrown out stealing second. A Nieuwenheis RBI single and a two run Martinez double have the Mets on the board. 5-3, middle of the 6th.

A few more observations from the game:

Unlike every other spring training manager these days, Terry Collins doesn't sit in one of those chairs outside the dugout; he is on the front rail of the dugout the whole time.

Tim Teufel was there, coaching first base but more notably spending a lot of time with Murphy on second base practice, particularly on fielding grounders and making the throw to the shortstop to start a double play.

Hillarious moment as Chip Hale was waving the runner in on Turner's RBI double and he was waving his arm so enthustiastically that his legs gave out from under him and he fell to the ground.

Good day for Martinez.

Good spring for Martinez. Liners galore, 3 XBH in 14 AB, a .500/.563/.867 slash-line, and solid-looking D.
