It strikes me that Steven Henderson's tenure coincided exactly with Kingman's absence, arriving in the Seaver parkage the day after Kingman was dealt, and then getting traded for Kong at the other end. In fact, you could call it the Henderson Interregnum, as his stewardship denoted the absence of big Dave, who was, if nothing else, a king.
