Sunday, September 12th has been touted as Sunglasses Day for a while. Not that it's a huge promotion, but it's something. Now Sunglasses day has disappeared from the schedule.

Are the Mets drawing so well that they can afford to take away promised promotions from its fans?

I would have to assume it has something to do with the actual production of those sunglasses? Or maybe the sponsor backed out last minute?

That's deinitely weird though.

It's not like these things cost the Mets anything. The geegaws are probably 100% underwritten by the sponsors.
