May 7, 2010 airs toinght @ 7. It's the first Citi Field walkoff home run, courtesy of the formerly healthy, formerly productive Rod Barajas.

I'm waiting for them to air the game with Seinfeld in the booth. That was a good game, and a quick one, so it's a good one to repackage.

A Barajas walkoff from less than three months ago? That's a classic? How expansion-teamish is that? Lame city.

OK. Ike Davis hit two homers in that game off of that Jints pitcher that never gave up a HR to a lefty all season. Ike also made one of his highligt reel catches in that game. It's still cheesy if you ask me.

What I want to know is if there will be any other Classics this year.

Next week, SNY is scheduled to air the 1963 game when Jim Hickman's walk off grand slam HR ended Roger Craig's 18(?) game losing streak. Either that or maybe we'll get that game from 1999 when Matt Franco's pinch hit beat the Yankees. Did you ever see the Franco game? Classic stuff ... in the "The Night Chicago Died" sense that anything's a classic if you play it enough.

Interesting, but I did mean Classics made, not aired.

Why wouldn't it be aired? All 2010 games are televised.

Matt Franco game airs tomorrow afternoon. I'd kill to see a 1963 game (kill in the figurative sense, or the killing of time at the very least).

I see nothing wrong with a recent "classic" thrown in. I see plenty wrong with limiting the variety as they do.

"The Night Chicago Died" is literally my second favorite song of all time. And if they wanted to show the game in which Benny Ayala hits a home run in his first at-bat, that, too, would be awesome.

The next day was maybe my favorite game witnessed in person at Citi-- the wind-tossed Henry Blanco game.

And really-- what's wrong with some New Classics? I'd watch a little Nelly Figs 4-hit Closing Day shutout from last year, even, if hurting for baseball.
