Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Does Tradition Field still have the same dimensions as Shea Stadium, or have they moved the fences to match the distances at Citi Field?
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Francoeur "goes yard," an expression I never use, and yet I just did. It's the fourth inning and the Braves are up 3-2.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2010 Author Posted March 23, 2010 One of the practice fields was changed to match CF's dimensions, including the fence heights, but, as stated, Tradition Field has Shea's dimensions.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 I think someone asked him. He seems to be taking questions during the game.

Why the reluctance to adjust the field to Citi's dimensions?I can only conclude that they're secretly planning to rebuild Shea Stadium.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 And I bet they fail to put a Met HoF in that one too.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2010 Author Posted March 23, 2010 Mets win, Francoeur with a 2 run homer, Wagner gets the loss, Green gets the save but gives up 2 in the 9th.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Always good to see Billy Wagner cough one up.
