metirish Old-Timey Member Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 What would Omar know? , that Flores is a slow healer according to Nats people. Flores took a foul tip to the shoulder in a game last May, he was taken in the draft by the Nats as a rule 5 in 2006.
Guest attgig Guests Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 omar will alwyas admit leaving flores unprotected was one of his biggest mistakes..... (like in here: http://www.metsfansforever.com/mets_fans_forever/2009/03/q-a-with-mets-gm-omar-minaya.html), so no, he didn't know anything...and way to fess up omar..... that 36 to ollie wasn't a mistake, huh? signing old, injury prone guys weren't mistakes either.... i could go on, but...i think everyone has a good idea of what his mistakes have been.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted February 24, 2010 Author Posted February 24, 2010 I know, Irish. I was being a little sarcastic there. How could he know?Att: But if Flores never returns fully healthy, it will make Omar's exposing him to the draft not be a too terrible mark on Omar's legacy. Also interesting is the way Flores (or the writer) discussed his (mis)treatment by the Nats' medical team. That kind of stuff was big news when we were talking about the Mets last year. Looks like it can happen elsewere, too.Later
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 Apologies '62 , I am sure all trams go through trials and tribulations regarding injured players. Should they have repaired it sooner?, it's all a judgement call isn't it?
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 I thought it was interesting and somewhat relieved that teams other than the Mets have injuries.Re: Flores, it almost sounds like who saw the MRI first
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 Maybe Omar knew something? Well, Omar certainly knew that the driving in Miami is "crazy" as Flores says. Or at least he should have, after what happened in July 2006.Come to think of it, Omar probably should have warned him about all those cab trips.
