At my last Shea game the alst week of the season I was seated behind homeplate but up in the second to last row of seats. There were two guys there with the radio and socre cards who would now and then walk up and down the steps and every now and then break into shouting ...I imagined that they probably went to every game, they had that look as described in the article.I remember too that they stood apart from each other and shouted their conversation , they seemed to know every score in every game that was going on , it was quite funny to listen in.
